We are proud to celebrate Porshia for being selected as a runner-up in South Dakota’s 2026 Congressional Art Competition with her piece, A Whispering Dusk!

The Congressional Art Competition is a nationwide visual arts contest sponsored annually by members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Each district selects winning artwork from high school students, with top pieces earning the incredible honor of being displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., for thousands of visitors, including members of Congress, to see.

As a runner-up, Porshia’s work stands out among many talented young artists across the state, showcasing both creativity and artistic excellence.

Her artwork, A Whispering Dusk, will be featured at the Capitol, an achievement that reflects her dedication, talent, and hard work.
